Check(-in), but what exactly will you be doing?

As a Purchasing Manager, you are responsible for various tasks related to the procurement of hotels and accommodation. Your tasks include:

  • Developing Purchasing & Contracting Strategies: Create and implement effective strategies for hotel and accommodation procurement;

  • Scouting and Contracting of Castles: Identify and secure dynamic contracts with pivotal accommodation offering from our portfolio;

  • Managing Hotel/DMC commercials: Negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, and SLA’s with hotels and Destination Management Companies (DMCs);

  • Leading the Cross-Organizational SPO Processes: Spearhead the continuous optimization and (re)negotiation of deals, including Early Booking Discounts (EBD's) and Special Offer Promotions (SPO's);

  • Collaborating with Product & Pricing Teams: Work closely with the product and pricing teams to determine and manage inventory needs;

  • Ownership of the Hotel Database: Keep the hotel database up to date, including purchase records, contracts and related documentation;

  • Optimizing Daily Purchasing Activities: Oversee and enhance daily purchasing activities, ensuring efficient task allocation;

  • Ensuring Quality Standards: Ensure contracted hotels & accommodation meet required quality standards according to contract;

  • Improving Purchasing Systems and Processes: Continuously work on enhancing purchasing systems and processes for better efficiency and effectiveness.

What you'll bring:

  • Knowledge of dynamic distribution is a prerequisite;

  • A broad network in the hotel industry (Mediterranean region is a plus);

  • At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position;

  • You are entrepreneurial, methodical, and come up with proactive ideas;

  • You are precise, independent, and a true networker;

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills; you get the deal done;

  • You see opportunities every day, always go for the best result, and act proactively.
